According to Epic Games, Mounted Turret, one of the most controversial items, seems to receive a critical bug fixing in the upcoming Fortnite V7.20 patch notes. The bug that's currently affecting Mounted Turrets is causing the hit-markers that players see when firing at one shown as white rather than bronze/gold, which confuses players who fire at the turrets. So, Epic Games decides to make a change.

Mounted Turret is an Legendary trap item in Battle Royale. It is a turret machine that can be only placed on floors and has unlimited ammo, but will overheat if fired too often. Once placed, it can be used by any player regardless of team affiliation and can be also damaged by shooting it directly or by destroying the structural support. Mounted Turret can be found in Floor Loot, Supply Drops, Vending Machines and Supply Llamas.
 
This issue was brought to the attention of the developers by a Reddit user “SmackJevans.” he finds that  the hit-markers that players see when firing at one shown as white rather than bronze/gold, which makes it harder for Fortnite player to differentiate whether their shots are striking the body of the vehicle of the pilot and/or passengers riding inside. SmackJevans even posted a video asking the hit-markers to be colored back in.
 
As with this issue,  Epic representative 'EpicDustyDevo' even gives response and considers it as a fantastic new idea. He said that “Great idea, looks like we can bang this out quickly and have it out next week with 7.20. Thanks for the input!”
 
So far, the release date for the v7.20 update has not been announced, and we can guess that it should go live either on January 15 or 16. Until then, players will have to make do with the bugged out hit-markers and somehow figure out whether they are hitting the Mounted Turrets or the players controlling them.
