Rocket League Season 8 Release Date
Rocket League Season 8 will release on September 7, 2022, at around 4 PM PT / 7 PM ET / 12 AM BST (September 8) and will end on December 7, giving players three months to complete the new Rocket Pass.
This is also the same day that Season 7 will culminate, giving players until September 7 to get everything they wish in the Season 7 Rocket Pass, as once this date rolls around, Season 8 will begin.
Rocket League New Map
One of the main highlights of the upcoming Rocket League season is the new map of Sovereign Heights. The arena will be set in the “dynamic neighborhood of Sovereign Heights”, an underground soccer arena.
The new map is also the inspiration behind the naming of the new season, Hit The Streets, which, in turn, has provided the theme for the Rocket Pass. After Sovereign Heights, fans can also look forward to a new Hoops Arena, which is expected to go live later in the season.
Rocket Pass Rewards and New Car in Season 8
For starters, we can expect a brand-new Rocket Pass. Every Season that Rocket League offers, it incorporates a new Rocket Pass for gamers to try and level up for new and exciting rewards. Season 8 is going to be no different. The new Rocket Pass is going to offer 100 new tiers and the rewards that you will get along the way include the all-new Honda Civic Type R, Sprattle Boost, Big Cap Topper, the Savage Spray Goal Explosion, and tons of other new rewards.
The Honda Civic Type R is the first real car, that will be available in the Rocket Pass Premium. In the past seasons, we only got Psyonix' own creations, like the Nomad.
The world-known hatchback could also become one of the more popular battle cars, because the car body features the Octane Hitbox. It goes without saying that the new Rocket Pass has a lot more to offer. Add-ons like the Sprattle Boost, the reactive Big Cap Topper and the Savage Spray Goal Explosion, have already been announced.
The icing on the cake is that Psyonix is also prepared with several more versions of the Honda Civic Type R for you. If you progress far enough in the Rocket Pass, the car will become even more luxurious — this means that it receives a back spoiler, an enlarged air duct at the front and is then called Honda Civic Type R-LE. Stylish.
The Return of Rocket League's Haunted Hallows event
Rocket League's Haunted Hallows event was a popular in-game event in 2021, and Psyonix confirms the return of the Halloween-themed event for Season 8. Although a start date for the event was not announced, Haunted Hallows is expected to arrive this October to coincide with Halloween festivities. The developers promise to share more information about the Haunted Hallows event once Season 8 is underway.
