How To Visit Kingsmarch
You can enter Lioneye's Watch, the first secure region, after finishing the brief prologue on the beach. Johan the King's Hand is located to the right of this place. You can then visit Kingsmarch for the first time by briefly talking with him. You can also add Johan to your hideout, although visiting Kingsmarch does not require you to speak with him. Any waypoint on the map can easily lead you here.
What Resources Can You Gather
Kingsmarch offers several different resources, categorized into three sections around the town.
Mining
On the left side of town, you'll find the Mining area, where you can mine the following items. These resources are scattered throughout the world, with nodes appearing randomly on maps:
Crimson Iron Ore
Orichalcum Ore
Petrified Amber Ore
Bismuth Ore
Verisium Ore
Smelting
The resources you gather from mining can be smelted in the rightmost area of Kingsmarch, producing the following materials:
Crimson Iron Bar

Verisium Bar
Farming
To the north, you'll find the farm area, where you can grow the following five crops:
Wheat
Corn
Pumpkin
Orgourd
Blue Zanthimum
How to Hire Workers in Kingsmarch
The first crucial task in Kingsmarch is to hire workers. This can be done in the main tavern area, where you'll find Faustus, Johan, and Raulf. By speaking with Raulf, you can see the workers available for hire.
Each worker has a symbol indicating their skills. Some may only have one symbol, like a pickaxe for mining, while others might have multiple. It's up to you to decide who to hire, but you'll need gold to pay them.
How to Get Gold
Gold is essential for paying your workers and upgrading areas in Kingsmarch. Fortunately, it's relatively easy to obtain, dropping from defeated enemies. Instead of stacking like typical currency in your inventory, it appears on the left side of your potions.
By clearing a few maps, you should accumulate a decent amount of gold. You'll need to add it to the Kingsmarch treasury. From anywhere in Kingsmarch, press the round button with a scroll icon, which appears above your skills.
This button opens the management window, where you can view your materials and the amount of money in your treasury. Be sure to press the "Add" button under the "Treasury Gold" section to deposit funds. Workers will draw their wages from this treasury, and you can monitor how long the money will last.
How to Set Up Shipping at the Harbor
The harbor is located at the bottom of town. Like other production stations, you must unlock shipping first. Once unlocked, you can speak with Tujen to set up a shipping route.
This process also requires workers, but you only need one to start. By talking to Tujen, you can see the crew and potential ports for sending goods. For instance, Riben Fell, 140 km from Kingsmarch, currently favors Corn and Orichalcum, making these items ideal for shipping.
What is Runesmithing
Runes are a unique currency, initially obtained by sending shipments to various ports. The first shipping location you access will likely yield some runes, which can be used once Runesmithing is unlocked.
Near the Blacksmith in the smelting area, you'll find the Runesmithing Table. Interacting with it reveals a system similar to a regular Crafting Bench. Using runes, you can apply modifiers to your gear.

Disenchantment and Recombination
Early in the game, you can speak with Rog the Disenchanter, and Isla the Engineer, but you must upgrade your town to level five to utilize their abilities. At this point, you can unlock disenchanting (with Rog) and recombination (with Isla).
Disenchanting allows you to convert items into Thaumaturgic Dust. Like other tasks, you'll need a worker assigned here. Once set up, you can drag rare items into the menu that appears when speaking with Rog, and after a set time, you'll receive the dust.
Recombination is done with Isla and her Recombinator machine, where you can combine items to create more powerful ones.
What is the Kalguuran Map Device
Finally, there's the Kalguuran Map Device. If you've reached this point in the season, you're likely familiar with maps—unique items that open portals to various zones to be cleared. With the Kalguuran Map Device, you can assign workers to run these maps for you. The workers don’t actually "run" the map; instead, the map is completed over a set time, and loot is generated based on the map in question.
