POE 3.9.0 expansion (Conquerors of the Atlas) has been arrived on PC on December 7, and the with the PlayStation4 and Xbox One versions will available on December 16th.

 
 

Originally revealed back in November 2019, during Exliecon, the latest addition to this dungeon crawling masterpiece already went live on the PC platform a few days ago. Now players can dive back into the War for the Atlas and take on a whole new slew of challenges as the adventure continues. After discovering an ancient primordial force that roams the Atlas of Worlds and battling it back, saving the world it turns out that nothing is quite what it seems. The consequence of long term exposure to the twisted reality of the Altas turns the world that players have fought for on its head. Conquerors of the Atlas calls on warriors to draw a line against some seriously powerful new foes.
 
In Conquerors of the Atlas, you’ll discover what the consequences of long-term exposure to the maddening, twisted worlds of the Atlas can do to the unwary, and you’ll mount a last defense against new foes. Introducing five incredibly difficult boss encounters, socketable Atlas “Watchstones” which allow you to reveal once-hidden maps and control the difficulty of the maps you challenge, and a slew of new rewards to unlock, Conquerors of the Atlas will provide dozens, if not hundreds, of hours of new challenges for even the best Path of Exile players, and at least an hour of confusion for returning players who didn’t pay attention to the announcement.
 
Path of Exile: Conquerors of the Atlas will introduce a brand new endgame story, which further expands the game's growing Atlas in the wake of the Elder's death. Players will be able to upgrade their maps, while also getting the opportunity to pick up a brand new Support Gem Plus to help along this journey. Players can find other new Atlas mechanics, new influenced rare items, and a rework of the bow weapons across the board. And of course, there's a massive endgame battle that awaits at the end, with five all-new endgame bosses. More details on this expansion are set to come over the course of the ExileCon convention.
 
It wouldn’t be an expansion launch without the introduction of an exciting new challenge league.  The Metamorph League tasks players with becoming a mad scientists (of sorts). Master Alchemist, Tane Octavius needs the players help acquiring the parts of various monsters to help him create Metamorphs -shapeshifting monstrosities that have the abilities of the various creatures used to make them. Essentially, this is a Build-a-Boss workshop, with rewards tied to the level of risk.
