EA announces NHL 22 Beta: Closed Technical Test
On Friday, August 6, 2021, EA Sports NHL Twitter shared that fans can currently register for the NHL 22 beta technical test. Gamers can play the new game as a “work in progress” and then give their feedback about what they like, or what isn’t working. It’s also a closed technical test, meaning gamers need to follow the terms of service. No videos, capture, screenshots, or streaming are allowed as the game’s still in progress. However, it’s a good way to get a feel for what’s on the way. The Closed Technical Test will be available to gamers with PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, or Xbox Series X/S consoles.
 
If you do want to sign up to the Closed Beta, you’ll have to do so quickly – as only a select number of gamers will be able to join in the action. Respawn Entertainment will select the lucky recipients of the Beta by the end of August – allowing them to test the game before anyone else.
 
The ad also continues to remind us that the closed beta technical test is an unfinished version of the game – so we should expect some hilarious bugs during that particular testing period.

On August 6, the official EA Sports NHL Twitter posted a link to the sign up on their website. When you click on this link, all you have to do is verify you EA account information, select which console you want the access code for, and then wait for a code to be sent to you later in August. When does NHL 22 release?
There is no official release date yet, but previous NHL games have been released in September, except NHL 21, which dropped on Tuesday, October 16, 2020. The NHL season officially kicks off on October 12, so we may be looking at a mid-October release date. Again, nothing is confirmed at this point.
