How to play with friends in New World
There are two ways to play with friends in New World:
·Walk up to them in-game and open up their player menu to invite them into your party.
·From the Social screen, search for a player by name and invite them into your party.
Using either of these methods you can choose to invite another player into your group so you can play together. You can also add them as a friend in order to make it easier to play together in future; and you can also engage in various other activities such as direct messaging, trading, duelling - or, if they're decidedly unfriendly, you can mute, block, or report them using these options as well.
 
There are a few different ways of adding your friends to your group. First, you can walk up to any player and hit “H” which will bring up a social menu. From this menu, you can Add Friend, Invite to Group, DM, Trade, Mute, Block, or Report. The much easier and preferred method is to add a friend directly. Hit “O” to bring up the Social Options from the main menu. Here you can search for your friends and add them directly. First, add them as a friend and then add them to your group. You can also access your group options or leave your group from here. Once your group is assembled you will see them on the top left corner of your HUB. Each of your friends will be assigned a marker, which will be designed on your compass, screen, and map. This will make it simple to find your friends when you are in different areas.
 
How do I form a party in New World?
All the same methods you used to add friends can also be used to start a party. You can enter their names into the Social menu search bar, add them from the chat, or click H while aiming at their character. You can also right click on them and invite them to your party if they’re already in your friends list.
 
Because the game is currently in closed beta, you cannot use the Steam in-game menu to add friends or invite to parties. Once the game is fully released, that feature will likely be added, however.
