The developer of rainbow six siege,
Ubisoft, officially kicked off the
Operation Grim Sky on September 4. the latest iteration of the Operation Grim Sky brings two more Operators, an all-new map rework, and various welcome changes. In this article, we mainly talk about the
Clash and provide some tips when you use the operator.
Clash, the game's only shield-wielding Operator among defenders, sporting three armor and level one speed, as shared in the news post on the official Siege website. Clash's primary weapon is her unique "CCE Shield" gadget, which offers a mobile bulletproof defense for holding back attackers. This gadget is defined by its electrifying twist, emitting a short-range pulse to slow and damage nearby foes. Her abilities aren't detailed, but the description says she's "strong on handling mob behavior" and snatch-squad tactics.
For those unfamiliar, snatch squad is a riot control and crowd control tactic, so it stands to reason this new defender has crowd-control behavior in gameplay. To unlock more operators, you can buy

Avoiding being alone
Although Clash has the unique ability to wander around and scout the map with relative safety with the help of the shield, be wary of being alone for too long. Since the shield is extremely sturdy, you won’t have many options in the case of being caught up by a few attackers. All you can do is to slow them down for a few moments. To avoid such catastrophe, pair with another teammate when roaming around to capitalize on your callouts and slowdown abilities.
At this point, Clash essentially becomes a normal operator, but thankfully, her kit is pretty good for self-defense. Her two-shot burst machine pistol is pinpoint accurate and easy to control, and her impact grenades can ensure that you have rotation options. And when you’re not holding the shield, it becomes a bulletproof shield protecting your back.
Slowing down the enemies with the shield
Clash’s shield doesn’t give great feedback for when it’s working. But even though it’s not immediately obvious, the taser shield has a surprisingly long range of about 12 meters and can entrap several enemies at once. This means that Clash can essentially take over an entire hallway for the brief time she can zap them, which can be very powerful when your team is there to back you up.
Standing still when surrounded and shot by enemies
imagine yourself as a mobile piece of cover for your allies. Staying mobile and calling out enemy positions is important, but in a tight space and tense gunfights, the shield op is better off planting their feet in a good spot to provide cover while minimizing the risk of being teamkilled. This strategy can work especially well for Clash, since her shield is almost completely transparent. Standing still essentially creates a Mira window where you stand, where allies can line up shots and then have you step aside to take them down.
