Here’s A First Peek At The Upcoming Fallout 76 Sheepsquatch And New Lying Lowe Quests
The latest update on The Fallout 76 Wild Appalachia brings us a whole new set of Fallout 76 quests, named
Lying Lowe Quests. The new quests are themed around the legendary “
Sheepsquatch,” a terrifying new cryptid.
In the new questline, Lying Lowe, players are sent off on a game-wide search for clues. Lying Lowe is "an all-new questline that's shrouded in mystery, deception, and rumors of a ferocious cryptid roaming the Wasteland". Players will need to read a series of posters and unravel their meaning in order to work their way to "Sheepsquatch", the "fabled wooly terror of West Virginia".
Recently, many Fallout 76 fans may encounter the source of the sheepsquatch when they log in the game. Many players are wondering whether this new monster would be rare creature like the Mothman, Flatwoods monster, or Grafton monster or just common creatures such as mole rats, scorched, super mutants etc. But in either way, players are pretty excited to see it when it releases and happy to have some new content to have fun.
Here’s a video on the folk lore behind it if you are unsure on what it is:
Unfortunately, the revealed details on the new quests and new creatures are scarce. In fact, so far, we even don’t know what the beast looks like yet, although there is a new costume players can wear to look like it.
The new Fallout 76 quests are also launching alongside Patch 8, which is set to come out today, April 9. This patch will introduces some new features like the ability to rename gear for easier customization (viewable only to the player), a vendor from each faction in Whitespring Resort to reduce the need to fast travel the entire Wasteland. In addition, it will also add two types of repair kits: basic and improved. Basic kits are single-use and repairs any one item to 100% condition. You'll be able to unlock them in the in-game Atomic Shop with Atoms--Fallout 76's microtransactions that can be bought with real money or earned by completing challenges.
Improved kits are also single-use, but they repair a single item to 150% condition, allowing them to last much longer than they normally would. The improved repair kits can only be earned for completing in-game content, such as defeating the Scorchbeast Queen.
In addition, on April 16, Fallout 76 will release another new patch notes, which is said to add a new dungeon, called The Burrows, for players to explore with a squad of other players.
So, what would this new creature look like and how to beat it? We’ll keep this story updated and provide you some combat tips of fighting this beast as soon as possible.
