New Mega Alerts now show up on all group missions.
Mega Alerts are a new type of mission alert, which grant survivors or schematics, evolution materials, perk materials, or XP, in "considerably higher" quantities than standard mission alerts. These rewards can be earned three times every 24 hours.
Mega Alerts combine modifiers from Mutant Storm missions with Elemental Storm effects and a mini-boss, to really ram-jam-cram a bunch more mega into the level. The amounts granted are considerably higher than normal Mission Alerts.
Harvester Fiona
Our new hero this week is Harvester Fiona, which is Save the World's port of Battle Royale's Whiteout skin, which debuted a couple weeks ago. She isn't really new new though, even by Save the World standards, as she's just a reskin of Harvester Sarah, with all the same abilities and perks.
There are still a host of adjustments in Fortnite update 5.40, but the High Stakes event and Grappler are the most important changes. Players who complete three different High Stakes Challenges will be rewarded 5,000 XP themed sprays, a Pickaxe and a special money trail when leaving the Battle Bus. The Grapple equips combants with the ability of hoping into Rifts and zip around from object to object, making Fortnite’s already fast-paced combat that much more exciting.
