Fortnite 9.10 Content Update Patch Notes Are Live Now and with it comes the new Burst SMG weapon, a number of bug fixes and more. Since it is just a Content Update and not a regular game patch, it will require no downtime or download.Below, 5mmo.com list the patch notes in full.

Burst SMG

The headline addition to the game in the v9.10 Content Update is the new Burst SMG, which comes in Common, Uncommon and Rare variants. It can be found as floor loot or in chests and vending machines. The new gun features a 24-round magazine and uses light ammo. However, to make room for it, Epic has vaulted another weapon: the Suppressed Submachine Gun.

 

New LTMs

In addition to the new Burst SMG, Epic is adding three different LTMs to the rotation this week. First is Solid Gold Duos, which only features Legendary-variant weapons. Next is Unvaulted Squads. Which only features items that are vaulted in standard play. Finally is Close Encounters Squads, which has you doing battle using shotguns and jetpacks.

Possible Map Changes

Recently, a giant eyeball has been discovered in Polar Peak. If players move near the eyeball, it follows them, suggesting that there is a live creatures encased in the ice. Rumor has it that this giant eyeball could belongs to the dragons, and it is a tease for an unannounced promotional crossover with the upcoming Godzilla: King of the Monsters movie. Although it is not confirmed whether a new Fortnite Godzilla event will materialize, we can assure that there is a giant creature of some kind at Polar Peak. Based on past Fortnite events, likely that the emergence of this creature will change the map in significant ways, like getting rid of Polar Peak and possibly damaging other areas.

No map changes were included in the v9.10 Content Update, but it's worth keeping an eye on the snowy location as we get closer to the beginning of the rumored event.

Team Rumble

Now spawning 4 hot spots each match, to ensure that there is at least one on each side more often. This is a temporary fix until we can set up functionality to force the same number on each side in big team modes.
