First Peek at Kingdom Hearts 3 Premium DLC “ ReMIND”: New Bosses, New Episodes and More
It seems that during Kingdom Hearts World of Tres Orchestra tour in Tokyo, Kingdom Hearts franchise director confirmed a bit of paid, and free DLC, on the way, according to Twitter user YanilynGaming, who also attended the World of Tres concert.
The paid DLC is known as Kingdom Hearts 3 ReMIND. So far, there is little revealed on the new paid DLC. But it is leaked that
the new paid DLC will feature a "Limit Episode + Boss," a new Secret Episode plus a boss, and an English voiceover option for the Japanese version of the game. Additionally, a new Keyblade and a new form for Sora will be made available for free. Here’s everything we’ve already know based on all the latest details.
The paid DLC is to be thought of as like a Final Mix and will be headlined by an additional scenario titled ReMIND, which will be accompanied by a limited episode and a secret episode. Both episodes will feature a new boss for Sora and the gang to beat up.
The ReMIND DLC will also come with an option to switch to English voice overs for the Japanese version of Kingdom Hearts III. It is unclear if the English version of the game will receive the opposite feature of switching to Japanese voice overs.
In fact, a lot of details about the DLC remain unclear, as according to YanilynGaming. Based on the description listed by Yanilyn, the type and amount of content sounds comparable to Final Mix versions of previous games, which are essentially the director's cut versions.
The DLC’s price point and possible release window are currently unknown. Nomura, however, did state the DLC will be further detailed when Japan’s rainy season begins, which should be sometime around June.
Kingdom Hearts 3’s most recent update1.05 was the free Critical Mode, an exponentially harder version of the game featuring more advanced A.I. and larger health bars. The same update also added two new items to player inventories titled the Proof of Promises and Proof of Times Past. The Proof of Promises is earned after collecting all 90 Lucky Emblems in a single save file, or by starting New Game+ with a secondary one on the same difficulty level. As with Proof of Times Past, you must beat Kingdom Hearts 3 on Critical Mode to get it.
Both Proof of Promises and Proof of Times Past are ways of acknowledging that players have photographed every Lucky Emblem and beaten Critical Mode. This helps the player know what they’ve accomplished, and it is also a simplified way for the game to track that data as well.
