Level up via Daily and Weekly Challenges.
Apex Season 2 will feature Daily and Weekly challenges and this will allow players to level up their Battle Pass tiers faster. Respawn explained that it isn’t adding challenges to the game and will keep avoiding complex challenges.
“If you miss a few weeks or start late, your Weekly Challenges will still be around for you when you return, and you can complete them all at once,”
“While we don’t want to introduce wacky challenges that drastically warp the way you play the game, these challenges should provide some interesting variation from game-to-game,” Respawn wrote. “This means all players should feel more rapid Battle Pass progression and the journey will hopefully be more fun and interesting.” Respawn wrote.
Time to Battle Pass level 100 should be significantly reduced.
Unlike Season 1, the only way to rank up is playing the game and earning experience points. With the addition of daily and weekly challenges, Respawn said that time for players to Battle Pass level 100 should be significantly reduced.
Three additional Legendary skins added to the rewards track.
In Season 1, one issue is that few people loved the skins that enable you to customize your characters. This is changing in Season 2.
“We’re adding three Legendary items to the Battle Pass,” reads the blog post. “And there will now be a Legendary item every 25 Battle Pass levels in the premium track, including at purchase — that’s level 1, level 25, level 50, level 75, and level 100. Our goal is to have a nice balance of cool character exclusives and cosmetics for everyone — like weapon skins.” Respawn said.
Three entirely new content categories replace badge and stat tracker rewards.
Another major improvement is that Badges and stat trackers are being removed from the premium path (win trackers will remain earnable in the first ten levels of the free path, so everyone can earn them easily) in favor of three new categories of content, but Pass owners will still get a seasonal badge that will evolve, rather than taking up additional reward slots.
You’ll earn enough Crafting Metal rewards from the full reward track to craft a Legendary item, or whatever your heart desires.
And lastly for now, Respawn is replacing Voice Lines with Crafting Metal rewards for Season 2 (for a total of 1,200 metals), making it easier to craft Legendary items.
The Legendary Hunt Event
Prior to Season 2, there is a new limited-time event underway during the next two weeks. The event is titled as The Legendary Hunt, which will begin on Tuesday, 4th June. During the event, players are offered with an opportunity to earn Epic Master of the Hunt skin for Bloodhound, the Honored Prey Legendary skin for the R-301, and a Legendary Night Terror Skin for Wraith by completing various challenges.
