1. Women in FUT
There are legions of fans whose first and last port of call is FUT, so why not reward them by giving them a chance to pack Megan Rapinoe?! It's baffling that EA has opted to leave women out of Ultimate Team for as long as it has: you can play with retired players, fake players, dead players, absolutely putrid players. Why not add some of the top talent from the female game to FUT? It would also go a long way in helping to diversify the game’s audience. Here's hoping FIFA 21 allows you to have a front two of Ada Hegerberg and Vivianne Miedema in your Ultimate Team. This is an open goal for EA.

2. FIFA Career Mode
FIFA's career mode was once one of the greatest aspects of the iconic simulation of the beautiful game.  I mean sure, in terms of detail and information, it had nothing on the Football Manager series, but the ability to able to fully customise the squad and tactics of the team that you built, and then take control as you lead them to glory on the pitch is a feeling that is truly hard to describe. Whether you're someone that likes to start at the bottom and rise your way up the ranks, or someone who chooses to immediately take charge of one of Europe's elite, you probably have more than a couple of gripes with the current state of career mode, that need to be improved in FIFA 21.

3. Next Gen
With both the PS5 and Xbox Series X boasting impressive specs that will help bridge the gap to the PC Master Race it is looking more and more possible that cross-platform play will be possible on next gen consoles. Both the new PlayStation and Xbox are expected to hit during the 2020 holiday period, with some speculation that they will arrive in late November. This means that FIFA 21 will first be available on the current generation of consoles, PS4 & Xbox One, which limits the scope of cross-platform play on release.
 
Still, with more and more games offering it, it’s surely only a matter of time until FIFA players can do the same. Although it’s still unclear as to what FIFA 21 will look like on new consoles, we do have a hint of information regarding Xbox Series X. Madden 21 will be “optimized for Xbox Series X“, so expect greater processing speeds and perhaps slightly better graphics on the new console. Let’s hope this leads towards a much smoother FIFA 21!

4. Classic Teams & All-Star Teams  It’s something Konami’s Pro Evolution Soccer has but FIFA doesn’t right now. With historical teams, it could give new House Rules challenges for gamers. Those might include playing with historic squads like 2008 Barcelona or 2004 Liverpool. It’s something EA’s Madden has incorporated so why not FIFA?

5. Dynamic Weather conditions 
 Changing weather is a part of the game, especially with outdoor stadiums. Having a game start in the late afternoon and then it grows darker as the game turns into nighttime would be pretty nice. Or have rain begin to fall as a game is going on. This would take the simulation up a notch when playing games.
