FIFA 21 Release Date, Cover Star, PS5, Xbox Series X, Ratings, Career Mode & More
As we all know, FIFA 21 is an upcoming video game that is supposed to be launched on this September. In this article, we are going to talk about all we know about FIFA 21, including Release Date, Cover Star, PS5, Xbox Series X, Ratings, Career Mode & More.
FIFA 21 confirmed by EA SPORTS with 2020 release date
EA SPORTS have confirmed that FIFA 21 will be coming in 2020, despite speculation about possible delays and here's the latest news on FIFA 21's release date. EA have released their most recent financial reports which go into detail about the impact of coronavirus, game launch updates and looking forward to the rest of the year. And in the report, EA confirm that both FIFA 21 and Madden 21 will still be released in 2020. The report also states that EA have confirmed FIFA 21's launch date as within Q2 of their fiscal year, which means a release date of between August and December 2020, so you should expect FIFA 21 to launch sometime in September as has happened in previous years.
Release Platforms
Surely the new FIFA 21 will be available on PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One X, but with the release of the new generation consoles Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X we expect that there may be an ad hoc version also for the new consoles, perhaps with Smart Delivery option that allows us to buy the game on Old Gen consoles and then move on to the Next Gen version without further expense once we have got the new hardware.
Career Mode
As we’ve already mentioned, FIFA 20 Career Mode brought some great additions to the offline game mode. The addition of manager customisation created a more immersive experience, whilst the introduction of player conversations and dynamic player and team morale led to improved realism in the FIFA 20 world. NEW FEEL – Customisable managers and press conferences added a new layer to FIFA 20’s Career Mode. These improvements proved that EA has turned its attentions towards innovating Career Mode, and so we fully expect the game developers to build on these additions.
Who will be FIFA 21 cover star?
It seems likely that FIFA 21 will have more than one cover star, whether that is spread across its multiple editions or a number of players sharing top billing together. The likes of Eden Hazard and Virgil van Dijk have strong cases to continue as cover stars given their reputations and stature within the game. Indeed, considering Hazard's injury woes, it could even be argued that Van Dijk is now worthy of top billing, especially in light of the fact that he ran Lionel Messi close for the 2019 Ballon d'Or. Messi, of course, is a perennial contender for the FIFA front cover, but his situation is complicated somewhat by the fact that Barcelona have an exclusive partnership with Konami's eFootball Pro Evolution Soccer game. Similarly, Cristiano Ronaldo is not likely to be on the FIFA 21 cover due to Juventus' partnership with Konami. Regardless, there is no shortage of alternatives to the duo that dominated football (and FIFA covers!) for the past decade.
