Destiny 2 Season 17 Release time
The Destiny 2 Season 17 release date is Tuesday, May 24. The new season will launch with the weekly reset on 10am PT/ 1PM ET/ 6pm GMT. Players who buy or own the Season Pass will be able to jump straight into the new seasonal content. A new initiative is launching with Season 17 that will let players spend 2,000 Silver on a Pass with 10 levels already unlocked.
New Map in Season 17
There is the addition of a new map in Season 17, Disjunction, which is one of the largest maps yet. It takes place in the Pyramid area of the Throne World, keeping the Witch Queen's spooky theme going. It'll also be available in Crucible for the real PvP champs among you, as well as Rift. The downside is Iron Banner is only running twice during the new season on May 31 and July 12, so put that in your diary.
Trials of Osiris is also getting a tweak, with Capture Zone and Freelance weekends continuing this season. Seven maps will be in rotation per season, with one being decided by player votes. Finally, there will be adept reward changes, making the grind more worthwhile.
Other Contents in Season 17
Raid rotation
Raid activities will be split into Seasonal and Weekly categories “so players can have a little additional freshness,” devs explained. On the Seasonal side, the latest Raid and Dungeon will grant Pinnacle rewards for all encounters, this includes the upcoming Season 17 Dungeon. On the Weekly side, the game will rotate Raids and Dungeons every seven days, offering a single Pinnacle reward for completing a specific Weekly Challenge.
Iron Banner - Power Level
Iron Banner was one of the two PvP activities that had Power Level (PL) advantages enabled, the other being Trials of Osiris. However, starting with Season 17, PL will be disabled for Iron Banner.
This change means New Light Guardians can compete in a more evenly matched environment against veterans of the game. Of course, if you haven't found yourself a good weapon roll, you'll still likely be losing most of your duels. Still, it'll be easier to access the activity as a casual player.
When Season 17 begins in Destiny 2, the weapon crafting materials that will be removed are Ruinous, Adroit, Mutable, Drowned, and Energetic Elements. Only Neutral Elements will remain as far as the Legendary crafting materials are concerned. Ascendant Alloys will still be part of the game for shaping weapons with enhanced perks, and it's likely that Resonant Alloys and Drowned Alloys will still be part of Season 17, too. Players who have been farming the Legendary crafting materials in Destiny 2, however, may want to use them before they're removed from the game.
If players want to level up their characters quickly or get more good weapons in Season 17, you can
Buy Destiny 2 Silver to prepare for the update of new season, and you will make great progress in the beginning.
