ArcheAge Unchained is a medieval fantasy-like MMORPG game, which is developed by XLGames and released on PC on October 15, 2019. Unchained is essentially a new server for the game that is entirely buy-to-play, with no subscription and no pay-to-win gear or amenities possible – just vanity items, Gamigo promises. In the latest update of Treacherous Tides, Charybdis has arrived.
 
The sea monster Charybdis has broken free of her prison in Bloodsalt Bay and now prowls the seas of Erenor just waiting to send unwary sailors to a watery grave. You and your friends will have to defeat Charybdis in naval battles. And of course, for your efforts, you shall be rewarded with loot. Being said, Charybdis appears on Thursdays and Sundays at 09:30 PM UTC, in Europe and 06:30 PM PST in North America.
 
"After the fall of Auroria, Dahuta struck by grief, assaulted the elven kingdom with her vicious cultits, but a brave elven warrior lead her army to successfully push back the onslaught. Though the elven warrior Termisia won against the Sea Goddess that day, Dahuta didn’t wait long to punish her for crossing her plans. Angered by Termisia’s prowess in battle and the death of her cultists, the Sea Goddess cursed Termisisa, turning her into the most terrible, hunger driven and hideous of creature: Charybdis. In a desperate attempt to stop this vile creature from taking more innocent lives, Termisia’s loyal army decided to pay the ultimate price and sacrifice themselves, in an attempt to seal the monster away. Together, her soldiers sought an Ipnyish relic that would banish the beast and brought it to Charybdis. When its mouth opened to swallow them all, they bravely jumped and forced the seal deep into its stomach, pushing Charybdis into a distant world, later rumored to be called Bloodsalt Bay.“
 
The update also introduces the Swiftblade Ancestral skills along with a new solo dungeon called Hereafter Rebellion. “In the new Solo Dungeon, Hereafter Rebellion, restless souls and the minions of the Crimson Army are causing mayhem. Players can command their own armies to stop the threat or rescue the lost souls for Hereafter Prestige. Precious rewards await the heroes for every enemy defeated!”
 
The Swiftlade class will receive its own mighty Ancestral skills, enabling players to inflict even greater damage on their enemies. You’ll be able to augment some (not all) skills at levels 1, 4, and 7 with one of the eight elements. These elements include quake, gale, wave, lightning, mist, flame, stone, and life.
 
Lastly, the team will be on hand on March 5th to announce the community winners of the first annual “Lucius Motion Picture Awards“. Winners will receive prizes from Gigabyte. The results will be revealed on all of the AA social media channels.
